Dashboard

Overview

The Dashboard is the first screen you see after logging into GuardMDM. It provides a high-level snapshot of your entire device fleet, letting you quickly assess the health, enrollment status, and OS distribution of managed devices.

Device Status Bar Chart

The bar chart at the top of the dashboard displays the count of devices in each enrollment state:

StatusDescription
EnrolledDevices that have completed MDM enrollment and are actively communicating with the server.
PendingDevices that have been assigned to an enrollment profile but have not yet completed the enrollment process.
OfflineDevices that are enrolled but have not checked in within the expected interval.
UnmanagedDevices that were previously enrolled but have been removed from management, or devices that were never enrolled.

Hover over any bar segment to see the exact device count for that status.

Device OS Pie Chart

The pie chart on the right side of the dashboard breaks down enrolled devices by operating system:

  • macOS — Mac computers
  • iOS — iPhones
  • iPadOS — iPads
  • watchOS — Apple Watches

Hover over a slice to see the count and percentage for each OS. This view helps you understand which platforms dominate your fleet and whether your OS coverage matches your organizational needs.

Below the charts, a row of quick-link cards provides one-click navigation to the most frequently used sections of the console:

Understanding Device Status Distribution

The dashboard is designed to answer three questions at a glance:

  1. How many devices are under management? — The Enrolled count is your primary metric. A healthy fleet should show the vast majority of assigned devices in this state.

  2. Are there enrollment bottlenecks? — A large Pending count may indicate that devices are not completing the setup assistant, or that enrollment profiles are misconfigured.

  3. Are devices staying connected? — A growing Offline count can signal network issues, device dormancy, or expired push certificates. Investigate Offline devices regularly to maintain management coverage.

Use the dashboard as your daily starting point. If any status bar deviates significantly from your baseline, drill into the corresponding section via the quick-link cards to investigate.
