Sign Up & Create Your Organization
Let's get your GuardMDM account set up. You'll be up and running in under two minutes.
Step 1: Create Your Account
Navigate to app.guardmdm.com/signup. You have two options:
| Method | How it works |
|---|---|
| Email & Password | Enter your work email, choose a password (min. 8 characters), and you're in |
| Google OAuth | Click "Sign in with Google" — no extra password to remember |
Both methods create the same account. Pick whichever you prefer.
Tip: Use a company email address. It makes inviting teammates and managing billing simpler later.
Step 2: Create Your Organization
After signing up, you'll be prompted to create an Organization (also called a tenant). This is your isolated workspace inside GuardMDM — all your devices, groups, and blueprints live here.
You'll need to provide:
- Organization name — A recognizable name for your company or team (e.g., "Acme Corp IT")
- Industry — Helps us tailor default settings (optional)
Tip: Choose an organization name that will still make sense if your team grows or re-brands. You can change it later in Settings > Organization, but picking a good one now saves a step.
Step 3: Explore the Dashboard
Once your organization is created, you land on the Dashboard. This is your command center. Here's what you'll see:
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Device Stats | Total enrolled devices, online/offline count, pending actions |
| OS Distribution | A breakdown of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS versions across your fleet |
| Quick Links | Shortcuts to common tasks: Enroll Device, Create Blueprint, Invite Team Members |
| Recent Activity | The latest enrollments, commands, and configuration changes |
Don't worry if most numbers are zero right now — that changes once you enroll your first device.
What's Next?
Your account is ready, but before you can manage devices, GuardMDM needs to establish a trusted connection with Apple's push notification service. That's where the APNs certificate comes in.
